New Keyboard and Monitor

Postby Shankly » 28 Mar 2017, 09:42

so managed to get a new monitor and keyboard :)

Monitor is a BENQ XL2420T http://www.benq.com/product/monitor/XL2420T

And keyboard is a Merc Stealth

Keyboard has a kind of built in gamepad, so hopefully with a little practice i should be able to convert to binder rather than clicker :D

Just need to buy a decent PSU now to run a GTX750 3gb without burning out my standard 600w one thats in at the mo.

not bad for freebies eh

Bought a merc stealth a few years ago. Could never get on with it. Felt kinda alien to my hand lol. Have a mate that has used one for years though.

600w is more than enough for that card. min load is 55w and recommended is 300w.

I dont like the look of it but we spoke about it earlier. As it was free its a good way to try binding out. A gamepad is a million times better/easier though but shanks needs some pennies for one of those.

Turns out this PSU doesn't have the right connectors for a 750, the card has a 6 pin and an 8 pin :(

new barrier in the way

its this GFX card

http://www.evga.com/Products/Specs/GPU.aspx?pn=C811FD6B-7E4F-4C02-9839-9C581D7B338C

and this is my PSU

http://microdream.co.uk/win-power-atx-600-atx-600w-psu-power-supply.html#product_tabs_description_tabbed

What are your thoughts other than the cables not being there? is it worth getting cables and running it, or buying new PSU?
